day in and day out
looking and listening
filling out applications
over and over again
just hoping to find
something
anything will do
at this point
Desperation
comes quickly
when you are poor
how did it get this bad?
they are demanding to know
what happened here
to our economy
when did America fail us?
we all knew it was getting bad
but the rich were still rich
so it couldn't be that bad
we were blind
to the impending crash
the economy will die
if it hasn't already
and when it does
we will all be the same
